User Roles

Krock.io uses five roles across two levels — workspace and project — so you can control exactly who sees and does what.

Workspace-level roles

These roles are assigned when inviting someone to your workspace.

Owner

Full control over the workspace. Can do everything a Manager can, plus manage billing and workspace settings.

Manager

The operational lead role. Managers can do everything inside the workspace — create and delete projects, invite and manage people (Members, Collaborators, and Reviewers), and control stage visibility. The only thing they can’t access is billing and workspace-level settings.

Member

An active participant on the team. Members can see all projects in the workspace, join stages on their own, and fully work with resources — creating projects, stages, uploading and deleting files. The key distinction: Members can’t invite others or manage people.

Member vs. Collaborator: A Member is a core part of your team — they have visibility into everything in the workspace because they’re trusted to work across projects. A Collaborator is added selectively by a Manager or Owner to specific projects only. They only see and interact with what they’ve been given access to.

Project-level roles

These roles are assigned per project, not at the workspace level.

Collaborator

Can upload and delete files within the specific stages they’ve been added to. Has no access to other projects or stages they haven’t been explicitly assigned to.

Reviewer

Can view and leave comments on shared stages and media files. Intended for clients or stakeholders who need to give feedback without touching the files themselves.
