How adding and removing members affects your billing if you are on the latest PRO Plan.
Each paid member seat (Team member or Collaborator) on Krock.io costs $10/mo. When you invite a new member mid-billing cycle, you’ll be charged a prorated amount based on the remaining days in the period. When you remove a member, the unused portion of their seat is credited to your account balance.
How seat credits work
When you remove a member before the end of your billing period, the unused time is automatically converted into a seat credit. This credit is applied to your next invoice automatically — you don’t need to do anything.
For example:
- You add a member on the 1st, then remove them on the 15th of a 30-day month
- You receive a credit for ~50% of their $10 seat = $5 credit
- That $5 is applied automatically to your next billing cycle
Adding new members with available credits
If you have seat credits available when inviting a new member, those credits will be applied first. Depending on the credit amount, you may be charged a reduced amount — or nothing at all for that billing period.
You’ll always see a breakdown of charges and applied credits on your invoice before any payment is processed.
Checking your current credits & invoices
You can view your available seat credits, past invoices, and upcoming charges from your Billing page in workspace settings. Only the Workspace Owner (Admin) can access billing information.
One seat works across all your workspaces
A paid seat is tied to the member’s account (their email address) within the workspaces you own. Once you’ve paid for someone’s seat, you can add that same person to any of your other workspaces without being charged again — as the owner, you only ever pay once per member.
Note that this applies to workspaces under the same owner. If a different workspace owner invites the same person, they pay for that seat separately in their own billing.
If you see a duplicate charge after adding an existing member to another of your workspaces, the most common cause is a typo in the email address: even a one-character difference creates a brand-new account, which counts as a new paid seat. Double-check that you invited exactly the same email in both workspaces, and if the charge still looks wrong, reach out to us — we’ll sort it out.
Reminder: only Team member and Collaborator seats are paid. Reviewers and clients you invite are always free, regardless of how many workspaces they join.
